THOMPSON MARKWARD HALL. Young Women's Christian Home. I was on Capitol Hill running errands when on a whim I thought I'd stop in to say hello to 'Nita who was the Resident Manager when I lived there 13 years ago. Can you believe it's been that long? It was wonderful to stop in and see her. Mrs. L retired and now 'Nita is the Executive Director. I was treated to lunch and we enjoyed a delicious salad chock-full of cranberries and nuts, chicken parmesan on a bed of spaghetti with a basket of garlic bread and to celebrate old friends catching up, we indulged in two desserts - pineapple upside down cake AND a lovely coconut sorbet. After all these years it was good to pay homage to the people and place I called home when I first arrived in D.C.
